A production model of the MK5™ bass designed specifically for Mike by Stuart Spector, this bass has been said to have a futuristic look with its sleek solid matte black paint and it's rich, powerful sound. A favorite of many rock and metal bassists, the Professional Series MK5™ shares many of the same elements of its more exclusive USA Series™ siblings.

A unique feature of this bass is that is has passive electronics and passive pickups. The reasoning is purity of tone. There is minimal coloring or influence to change the natural tone of the guitar from the transmission of the string's vibrations out to the amp/head of your choice.
