Jean-Marc Jetté

Drum Guitare Plus Owner and Drums Specialist

Jean-Marc's first steps in the music universe began in 1991 when he started studying drum playing. Born from his passion of drum and music at large, Jean-Marc founded Drum Guitare Plus, then known as Drum Bazar, in 1998, right after his studies at the École de Musique Vincent-D'Indy. Nourished by a steady success, Jean-Marc moved his store to bigger space in 2004 and then proceeded in 2007 to add the guitars, basses and amps department.

After all these years, Jean-Marc now speaks in those words of Drum Guitare Plus and his team : "We are as proud as ever to share our knowledge with the customer to help him find the perfect instrument or the ideal accessory needed for his progression, whether he plays for fun or professionally. And this attitude will always remain our first priority!"

Mathieu Gélinas

Percussion Specialist

Mathieu also just joined our team. He is first and foremost a drummer who earned his DEC at Collège Lionel-Groulx, but he is also a self-learned percussionist. He has toured five years with Éric Masson every where around Quebec and is also the DoumKéréka Band drummer and percussionist. Lately, he has spent a lot of time to his new project, the Ateliers mobiles de percussions DoumKéréka. In the meanwhile, you can often find him busy in the store, always ready to help a customer or one of his coworkers.

Bruno Moisan

Drums Specialist & Floor Manager

Cartoon sounds and 30's jazz brought him to play drums at around 15 years of age. He is also appalled by ska, pop and alternative rock, and wanders through music bars in the city. At that point he already plays in corporative gigs.

Bruno joins the Drum Bazar team on St-Zotique street in 1999, though still very active in graphical arts. It's only in 2006 that he joins the team full-time. He is a reference for advice concerning cymbals, drumheads and other drumming secrets.

Simon Lacasse

Guitar Specialist

Simon joined the Drum Guitare Plus near the end of Summer 2011, with many years of guitar selling behind him, mostly on the North and South shore of Montreal. Although he is not academically trained, Simon has been constantly playing music with various bands; mostly guitar, but also drums and keyboards. Besides working at Drum Guitare Plus, Simon regularly plays with Stone Junkyard all around Montreal. His musical influences mostly come from classic rock and folk music, ranging from Radiohead to Neil Young.

Paul Théoret

Guitar Specialist

Paul joined Drum Guitare Plus at the end of Summer 2011. First and foremost a guitarist, Paul is nonetheless a gifted multi-instrumentalist who first played violin at the age of five, giving him his first contact with traditional québécoise music. He then played saxophone, drums, harmonica and finally guitar. Paul then went on studying jazz and classical music at Drummondville cégep. He now shares his time between helping customers picking the ideal guitar or the ideal pedal and playing with many bands he currently contributes with (including Lendemain de veille). His influences all have in common rock music, blues, québécois, jazz and folk.

Patrick Dugas

Drums Specialist

Patrick is our latest addition in the drumming department. He has studied percussion and drums at Drummondville cegep and went on to get a degree at UQÀM in latin percussion. He has since then played with many artists around Montreal and everywhere else!

Éric Lussier

Drums and Guitars Specialist

Éric recently joined our team to help when there are just too many customers around. He is a self-learned musician, who started playing drums in 1998, bass in 2009 and gutiar in 2010. His whole life has been oriented toward music, as his father before him who also was himself a drummer. Éric just knows a lot about everything, as he reads manufacturers' catalogs during his lunch breaks!
